My Year in Review

2015 has been a HUGE year for Start Fresh Accounting, and for myself personally. There has been highs and lows all with a big purpose of getting me to where I am now.  Start Fresh Accounting celebrated its first anniversary in August, and I celebrated my two year anniversary of finishing my full time job this December. I look back at that day when I gave my resignation and realise I have come so far. I didn’t realise that day that I was about to start a big journey of becoming a business owner and two years down the track, winning an award for all my success.  Tax Time 2015 saw me lodge hundreds of individual tax returns, doubling the amount I lodged the previous year.  This year I moved my operating system to a complete Cloud solution with Maytek IT. This has revolutionised the way my business operates and can grow with ease.  Start Fresh Accounting was mentioned in Parliament by Federal Member Russel Matheson as part of his speech on the Co-Working Office. The Co-Working Office I operate my business from is the Smart Work Hub in Oran Park. I moved into the hub November 2014 and started on a desk only. I have since moved into a private office in the hub, and then again into a larger office.  In August this year Start Fresh Accounting grew in numbers with me hiring my first employee. Leanne is my Admin Assistant and is a great addition to the team. She is currently my longest running employee! Next year I hope to expand this even more.  The pinnacle of the year was being nominated for two Business awards for Linking Ladies, a network group I love. I didn’t win either category I was nominated in, but won an extra special award that was awarded at the end of the night. The Founders of Linking Ladies awarded me with Linking Lady of the Year to acknowledge my business achievements over the last year. It was such a special night and I was so blown away. I was so grateful to celebrate with my fellow Linking Ladies as well as my Mum & Dad (pictured above), and Leanne my employee.  2016 holds so much opportunity and I am so excited to see what the New Year brings. My passion for helping clients with all their tax and accounting problems remains my focus and grows still stronger. If I can help you in the New Year contact me here.  Photo Credit – ST Photos
